To compliment this we run a number of Model Portfolios constructed and reviewed quarterly by Morning Star to cater for all levels of risk.


At JPM we have a bespoke service to deal with your Auto Enrolment requirements and can offer Corporate Solutions such as Private Healthcare, Group Life and Group Income Protection.


In addition, we offer the complete suite of protection polices to cover both clients, families and businesses. These range from Basic Life Cover to Relevant Life Assurance and Critical Illness Policies. We also specialise in Commercial Property purchase via Pension Schemes.

Flexible Pensions & Retirement Planning

A pension allows you to build up a sum of money, in a tax efficient way, which will be used to provide an income for your retirement, with the option to take part of your plan value as a tax free cash sum. It is a very complex area with numerous matters to discuss.

This has become increasingly popular, clients can use their pension funds to either buy their own commercial buildings or new buildings which offers benefits for both the pension scheme and their company.


With the new flexible pension, this reduces the requirements for commercial property to be sold at or close to retirement.

Life / Critical Illness

Ensuring adequate protection in the event of death is an important consideration particularly when seeking to protect dependents from the resulting consequences and liabilities such as mortgage and inheritance tax.


We can also insure against a critical illness, this cover – sometimes referred to as ‘Living Insurance’, can pay the insured a lump sum upon the diagnosis of specified critical illness such as Stroke, Heart Attack and some Cancers.


A relatively new form of cover called Relevant Life Assurance allows the company directors to establish life cover through the company where the main features are:


  • Premiums can be paid by the company
  • These premiums are not charged as P11d benefits to the employees

Income Protection

Under an income protection plan, an income benefit would be paid to you if you were unable to work because of disability caused by sickness or accident. The benefit is paid, basically, as compensation for loss of earnings.


Benefit will normally start at the end of an initial waiting period, which is normally 4, 13, 26 or 52 weeks long and is payable until you either return to work, die or the policy term expires. The policy term is normally linked to your expected retirement age.
